Join a campaign team

Are you passionate about any of the issues the Union is campaigning for? Are you committed to the aims and objectives of the campaign? Are you friendly and open to new ideas? Are you enthusiastic and enjoy meeting new people?

All of our campaigns are lead by an elected Officer, but they are steered by you. If you have a passion for any of our campaigns, or if you just want to find out a bit more, you are invited to our campaign meetings and to join our campaign team. The campaign team will generally meet for an hour every fortnight to plan, develop & monitor progress of a campaign.

Please contact the Campaigns Coordinator: hannah.m@sussexstudent.com if you want to know more!

You can also add yourself to the Sussex Campaigner Network for updates, news and important dates.

To find out more, or to see a copy of the role description, email the Campaigns Coordinator hannah.m@sussexstudent.com

As a Union-led campaigns volunteer you are expected to attend campaign meetings in order to fully participate in the campaign that you are volunteering with.

Every effort will be made to arrange meetings at a time that all volunteers can make. As a volunteer you will not be required to undertake any tasks that you feel unable to do, or uncomfortable with. We also ask however that you do not extend the boundaries of your voluntary role without guidance and prior agreement.

We remind any person considering becoming a volunteer to check whether they are allowed to volunteer under the terms of their visa or entry clearance conditions. If your visa does not permit you to volunteer, this may have implications for your future ability to work/study/remain in the UK. If you require further advice or information, contact UK Visas and Immigration or visit

www.gov.uk.
