Marrow Society

Brighton and Sussex Marrow is a student led branch of the charity Anthony Nolan. Our goal is to sign potential bone marrow donors up to the Anthony Nolan register. Becoming a donor could save the life of someone with blood cancer, and is much easier than most people think, with the majority of donations being made the same way you would give blood. Our society raises awareness for the charity by holding fundraising evens and donor recruitment days.

Last year we held two fantastic fundraising events (a cake sale and a 10K Mud Run) which raised over £1450 for Anthony Nolan. We have also recruited 177 potential donors to the bone marrow register over the past 18 months.

This year we hope to get bigger and better, having recently teamed up with Brighton University to become a cross-university society. There'll be more fundraising events, more donor recruitment days, and lots of volunteer socials. Volunteering with Brighton and Sussex Marrow is not only rewarding, it's a great way to meet people and have fun...
