Christian Union

Welcome to the official University of Sussex Christian Union!

Who are we?

We are a community of people who want to tell others about Jesus. We want to be living, maturing, and stepping out in God's truth on Sussex campus.

We are a non-denominational group, and everyone is welcome - believers and non-believers alike. We would love to have you with us! For more information, visit our website on the link below.

We run loads of amazing events and regular meetings throughout the year for you to get involved with, including member meetings every Monday during term time at 6pm in the Meeting House. As well as this we hold many other events throughout the year...

Monday Meetings - 6pm in the Meeting House.
We love to welcome everyone and anyone for refreshments and a talk, often with a q & a or interactive element, as well as the opportunity for prayer and praise.

Tea and Toast - 10pm-3am, every other Tuesday.
We serve toast and hot drinks to campus in Park Village Social Space. Everyone is welcome to come into a chill environment and relax, or chat to us.

Prayer & Praise - 8pm-10pm, every other Thursday.
We get together as a community to praise our God and pray for the vision of the CU, and for issues that are close to our hearts. Come and along and get some prayer.

As well as these regular events, we also put on a number of other more irregular events. We run a number of socials each term, as well as run events such as Text-a-Toastie where we deliver toasties to people and answer any questions they may have. Keep an eye out on our social media platforms for any information on other events.

We have an exciting week of events coming up in February which everyone is welcome to come along to and join us. We will have a range of talks at lunchtime and in the evenings which you are all welcome to come along to, which will be looking at and answering questions about the Christian faith; exploring why we have the hope that we do.

There will be lunch bars at every lunchtime event and different themed nights such as an acoustic night every evening. All the events will take place in Falmer House Common Room, and we'd love you to join us. Keep an eye out on all our social media platforms for more information regarding the week. We're so excited to be able to serve campus, and whether you're a Christian, you're exploring, or even if you are a firm athiest, we'd love you to come along and engage with us while having a bit of fun.
