There are a number of gossip and confession pages related to Sussex University on social media. These pages are not affiliated with the Students’ Union, and the SU has no control over what is posted on or disclosed to these pages.
Most posts on these pages are harmless. However, some posts are slanderous, defamatory, and equate to cyber bullying. We are concerned about the safety and wellbeing of students disclosing sensitive information to these pages and students being singled out.
We encourage and support students to use University or Students' Union processes to deal with issues between students, rather than post serious concerns on anonymous social media pages:
