Decolonize Sussex Journal - Call for Submissions

Oops! You may have been looking for the Statement on Varsity Disruption instead

We are producing a journal that will amplify voices of students and academics alike while presenting multi-disciplinary perspectives, ideas, essays, dreams, poetry or/and any creative, academic or political iterations of yourself.

This journal is a project from the Sussex Decolonize Education Campaign, seeking  to value decolonial forms of knowledge through cultivating non-conventional ways of owning our stories.

We’re calling out to you to submit pieces you’ve written to be included in this journal. We’re talking essays, think pieces, art, poems - anything - you’ve written to express your experiences.

This journal is for anyone who wants to share stories, traditions, experiences, iterations, dreams, art and struggle. We welcome submissions from everyone but acknowledge the erasure of marginalized people in popular media and so will aim to amplify submissions from marginalized groups. This includes but is not exclusive to: people of colour, people with disabilities people who identify as LGBTQ+, people with dependents and other marginalized groups.

Please send any submissions to Savannah at ugedeucation@sussexstudent.com
