For the Love of Music - A Piano for All

“Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything” - Plato

Some of you may have noticed the new piano in Eat Central and are wanting to hit the keys. Please play it!

Thanks to the generous funding from the Community Social Fund from the University of Sussex, the piano is for all to share. It will stay in Eat Central for all students, staff and members of the Sussex Community to play and listen to. Music has been known to help relieve stress and anxiety, and the piano will give those looking to play a chance to share their talents with others.

Annie Pickering, Full-Time Officers President, is thrilled about the new addition:

"I think having a piano is a public place is a great way to share live music with everyone. Whenever I hear people playing the pianos at the train stations it always makes me smile, and sometimes sing along! I hope people enjoying playing the piano."
