A hustings is a meeting where election candidates debate policies and answer questions from the audience. Hustings give voters the opportunity to hear the views of candidates.
Our Hustings was meant to be held on Friday 20 March in lecture theatre Fulton A and B, hosted by the Politics Society acting as chair. Ordinarily, the evening is divided into timed slots per Officer position, where the panel of candidates are given the opportunity to respond to two questions put to them by the chair.
Due to the current situation and the ban on mass gatherings, Hustings has happened online:
Each candidate has been asked two questions specific to the role they are running for and have been given a few days to return their answer.
Voting starts at 9am on Monday 23 March
