Statement | Free Ferry Gombo

Your Undergraduate Education Officer, Chris, and Society & Citizenship Officer, Ijlal, have a statement regarding West Papua:

We stand in solidarity with Ferry Gombo, the Head of the Students' Union at the University of Cenderawasih in West Papua.

Ferry Gombo was arrested for leading anti-racist demonstrations and now faces 10 years in prison.

If we do not oppose cases such as this, our anti-racist action will never succeed.

Ferry Gombo needs to be released, and those on trial alongside him acquitted too.
