Statement | In support of Crisis Justice at Sussex

Meeting House on campus

Our SU Officers, Chris and Ijlal, have a quick message regarding Crisis Justice at Sussex. The Students' Union stands in solidarity with Crisis Justice at Sussex. These are incredibly worrying times for higher education across the UK.

At times such as these, those on precarious contracts are particularly vulnerable. We know that many of our members are on such contracts. Moreover, we want to highlight our support for academics who are not part of our membership.

If we do not look after our academic community we will inevitably see a drop in teaching standards and student experience. We urge the University to find the best solution available to avoid mass redundancy of staff and retain our excellent teaching staff.

We urge everyone to have a look at the Crisis Justice page and support it.
