First and foremost, we would like wish all our international students, who have just started at Sussex, a very warm welcome. Here at the Students’ Union, we appreciate that moving over to another country can be a very exciting but also daunting experience and we try to do our very best to make our new international students feel welcomed and right at home.
To ensure that we are providing the best kind of freshers experience for international students, we have created a short survey to let you have your say. The survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete and it is a really important way for us to find areas for improvement and to build upon the things that we did well this year.
Adèle, our current Activities Officer, has this to say about the importance of international students' experiences:
One of my manifesto pledges is to do some research on how the Students' Union engage with international students, to see where the SU could do better. I am an international student myself and being involved with the SU played a really important role in my uni life. Making sure that the SU is engaging with international students in the best way possible is something that is particularly close to my heart.
Sharing your views via this survey will help improve Freshers Week for future international students, all your comments and feedback are massively appreciated!
