BAME Ambassadors | New paid student roles

BAME students

Students' Union Officers, together with students and other SU staff, have been lobbying the University since June 2019 to take the closing of the Sussex BAME Attainment Gap more seriously.

This included lobbying for a BAME Ambassador Programme, funded by £30,000 from the University - which we have now secured!

Now we are looking for  BAME student ambassadors who will support, inspire and empower Black, Asian, Minority and Ethnic (BAME) students to be involved in creating change at our university in order to close the BAME attainment gap and ensure that BAME lived experience is fed into the six schools with the largest Attainment Gap.

Alongside this there is also a role for a BAME Researcher, who will support the work of the BAME Ambassadors.

If you want to work with your SU and the University on this pressing issue, please consider applying for these roles!
