Student Reps are now able to work towards prizes by earning points throughout the year in our new Reputation scheme.
Points are earned by taking part in activities and development opportunities as well as providing evidence that they've worked to improve the student experience for others.
The reputation scheme page contains a list of activities for which points are awarded; these include attending training, participating in skills development events, and conducting surveys. The list on the page is not exhaustive, and other opportunities to accrue points may be offered by the Rep Team.
After the Reputation Scheme has passed its pilot stage, organisers will investigate providing tailored training designed to suit the particular skills needs of Reps.
For the 2014/15 academic year, however, Education Officer, Bethan Hunt, and Representation & Democracy Administrator, Andy Chapman, will organise a range of development opportunities, including Careers and Employability Centre workshops, these will cover:
During the last part of Spring Term, the points Reps have accumulated over the year will be totalled; prizes will be awarded to the top 10, 25 and 50% respectively. Points which have been accumulated in the Autumn Term of 2014 will be totalled up and awarded to Reps retrospectively.
All evidence and queries should be sent to Andy: firstname.lastname@example.org
