Rugby Fundraising Calendars for Sale Now

The University of Sussex Rugby squads have been busy not only on the pitch, but also getting in front of the camera to create this years fundraising calendar.

The idea of creating a calendar came from the success of the women’s rugby team who created one just two years ago. The Rugby squad are looking to beat the incredible target set by their predecessors, who raised £1500 with their calendar. All of the proceeds go to two fantastic charities – Mind and the Deaf England Rugby team, both of which were voted by the team to be close to their hearts.

Mind works in Brighton and across the rest of the UK to provide advice, information and support services to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem to enable them to live a full life.

The Deaf England rugby team was formed so that deaf, and hard of hearing, atheletes can participate in a team sport where there aren't any communication barriers.

This year, the calendar will feature both the men’s and women’s teams.

Anna Clarke, President of women’s rugby, says:

“The men and women reacted very differently at the photo shoot - the women were cautious and giggly and the men were straight in there running around naked!

I am so proud of everyone who took part and so pleased with the final product!”

The calendar can be purchased here for just £7.50
