A further 24 society applications have been approved by the Societies Committee.
The Society Reps have had their final meeting of term and approved 24 more new society applications, bringing the total number of new societies up to 64 this year.
The Society Reps are an elected group of students who are experienced society committee members and meet every week to make decisions about societies at Sussex.
The newly approved societies are currently being processed by the Societies and Student Media team, and will be online in the next couple of weeks. Meet the new groups at the Refreshers Fair in February!
A new Student Media outlet has also been approved by the Media Committee, called The Channel. Find out more about The Channel and how to make a submission for their upcoming publication on their website.
The Society Reps have also been working on making improvements to the Student Awards, expanding the Societies category to ensure a diverse range of societies have the chance to be recognised for their contribution to life at Sussex. Look out for the new awards when nominations go live in spring term.
