LGBTQ+ History Month

Sussex LGBTQ+ have planned a month of activities and events to observe lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender histories, and gay rights and related civil rights movements.

With over twenty events, including film screenings, panel discussions, parties and roast dinners, this is the biggest LGBTQ History Month to date.

Monday 1st February - Queersoc 6-8pm LGBTQ+ Room, 2nd floor Falmer House

History Month Kick Off Party 8pm-late Room 76, behind Falmer Bar

Wednesday 3rd - Film Screening: United in Anger 5pm Arts A01 Lecture Theatre

Sunday 7th - Sunday Roast 3-5pm East Slope Bar

Monday 8th - QueerSoc 6-8pm LGBTQ+ Room, 2nd floor Falmer House

Tuesday 9th - Anti-Valentines Blow Out 8pm Revenge Bar, Marine Parade, Brighton

Wednesday 10th - Liberation Cafe 2-4:30pm Meeting House

Film Screening: Kumu Hina 6pm Location TBA

Thursday 11th - Valentines Card Making 1-3pm LGBTQ+ Room, 2nd floor Falmer House

Poetry Night 7pm Room 76, behind Falmer Bar

Monday 15th -  Queersoc 6-8pm LGBTQ+ Room, 2nd floor Falmer House

Thursday 18th - Panel: LGBTQ+ and Faith 6pm Meeting House

Monday 22nd -  Queersoc 6-8pm Fulton 202

Pub Quiz 8pm Room 76, behind Falmer Bar

Wednesday 24th - Film Screening: Tongues Untied 6pm Location TBA

Thursday 25th - Generations Panel 6-8pm Fulton 213

Saturday 27th - Closing Party and Fundraiser (Action for Trans Health) 8pm The Globe, 78 Middle Street, Brighton

Monday 29th - Women Who Love Women Mixer 8pm Room 76, behind Falmer Bar
