Sussex win Varsity for third successive year

Sussex sports teams retained their Varsity crown over the University of Brighton by winning 11.5 - 9.5 across over 20 events on Sunday 13th March.

Hundreds of students took part in fixtures across Sussex and Brighton campuses on Sunday, with big wins for Women's and Men's Tennis, Men's Basketball and Women's Rugby. Sussex were also victorius in Women's Hockey, Women's Badminton, and Women's and Men's Volleyball, and sealed overall victory with dramatic close wins in Men's Cricket and American Football.

Overall Result: Sussex 11.5 - 9.5 Brighton

American Football (WON) Sussex Saxons 12 - 8 Brighton Tsunami. The Saxons won with a superb 80-yard touchdown drive in the dying seconds of the match!
