Two referenda announced: Fairtrade clothing & Prevent

Alongside voting for the Full-time Officer, Part-time Officer and other elected roles in a couple of weeks, students will be able to vote in two referenda:

Should the Students’ Union commit to sourcing 100% Fairtrade clothing by 2021 by implementing a Fairtrade Clothing Policy?

Should the Students' Union implement a policy opposing the government Prevent legislation?

You can read more about these proposals at www.sussexstudent.com/referenda

If you'd like to be an official campaigner for or against these proposals please email returning@sussexstudent.com by midday on Monday 20 February. Being an official campaigner means you can write the argument for or against a proposal and have access to resources to persuade people to vote a particular way.

Get involved. Be part of deciding together.
