Referendum on Equal Gender Representation policy to take place next week

Students will be voting on whether the Students' Union should adopt an Equal Gender Representation policy later next week. You can read the policy at sussexstudent.com/referenda.

The policy proposes that the Union lobby the University to work towards a gender balance on University committees (including representing trans and non-binary people), support student schemes working to diversify the student body in certain subjects and promote better representation, especially in sports, campaigns and the Buddy Scheme.

Voting on the policy will take place between 20th-23rd February, alongside NUS delegate elections and Student Rep by-elections. Students will be able to vote at sussexstudent.com/elections.
