Volunteering

Volunteering is an enjoyable way for you to make a difference, provides a fantastic opportunity for you to develop key skills for your future career and to check out possible career paths. On top of that it’s a great way to make new friends, to do something different from your studies and to get a different perspective of life.

We offer you the opportunity to volunteer in a wide variety of locally based organisations and community projects as well as for the Students' Union.

There are lots of options to choose from and we will help you find the volunteering placement that is right for you so contact us for more information.

We have over 200 different volunteering opportunities available in the local community, which you can browse below (the database may take a moment or two to load).

Once you have seen an opportunity that you are interested in, book an appointment with us in Project V and we will help you to arrange your volunteering placement.

You can also visit us to browse through the 'Further Information' files in our Drop-In area. These files provide more information than that given online for some of the volunteering opportunities. We hope that they will help you to choose the volunteering placement that is right for you. You can take a seat on our comfy sofas and look at the files at your leisure.
