Volunteering

Volunteering is an enjoyable way for you to make a difference, provides a fantastic opportunity for you to develop key skills for your future career and to check out possible career paths. On top of that it’s a great way to make new friends, to do something different from your studies and to get a different perspective of life.

We offer you the opportunity to volunteer in a wide variety of locally based organisations and community projects as well as for the Students' Union.

There are lots of options to choose from and we will help you find the volunteering placement that is right for you so contact us for more information.

► Book an appointment

Project V, has an appointment system. Appointments take between 20 and 30 minutes.

Each Monday you will be able to sign up for appointments on Wednesday and Thursday.

Each Thursday you will be able to sign up for appointments on the following Monday and Tuesday.

We don't have appointments available on Fridays.

We also have appointments available out of term time. To book one, please get in touch with Project V.

Booking your appointment

If you'd like to get involved in volunteering, please have a look which day and time would suit you and then e-mail us - projectv@sussex.ac.uk with the time slot most suitable to you. You will then get an e-mail to confirm your appointment.


Before your appointment

Prior to the appointment, please have a look on our online database of volunteering opportunities. Write down the ID number of the volunteering opportunities that interest you and bring them along to the appointment.
