The Students’ Union has had a long history of students taking up voluntary positions to deliver student services. Student volunteers today are the lifeblood of the Union, taking up positions such as Writers, Editors, Receptionists, Computer Engineers, Committee Members, Student Representatives and many more.
Volunteering at the Students’ Union is an excellent way of meeting other students, gaining experience and beefing up your CV. All the roles are term-time only and most require only a minimum of a term commitment. This is an excellent way of finding out if the role suits you best and which areas of the Union you could get involved in.
If you volunteer for us you can expect a friendly, respectful and inclusive environment that aims to support you in your role as much as possible. You should expect to be fully inducted in your role with training if necessary and regular meetings with your supervisor.
