The Shop's History

Union Computers began as an idea of former USSU Education Officer, Josh Jones. Through the combined efforts of USSU IT and Web Manager Hesan Yousif and the original volunteer team, the shop has become a fully-operational site. We're unique in the sense that we are an independent service – students run the shop and students receive the benefits. We offer friendly one-to-one advice as well as a range of technical repair services. Our Price List will give you an idea of our services at a glance. If you're not sure, you can always drop into the shop during our Opening Times – a member of our team will endeavour to help you out, whatever your query. Of course, this wouldn't be possible without a dedicated team of volunteers. If you'd like to join our team, click here.

We are not funded by the university, and we are not connected to the IT Services team based in Shawcross. However, we maintain a good relationship with IT Services, and we recommend checking our Advice & Resources page to see what they can offer you.

We look forward to seeing you in the shop!
