About us

What we do

HockeyWe support our range of student sports clubs by providing advice, support, funding, fixture scheduling and more. We work with the University's sport department, Sussexsport, to organise other sport opportunities.

Whether outdoor or indoor, team or individual, students at Sussex benefit from being able to get involved in a wide range of competitive and leisure activities provided by the Union and the University.

If you're on the committee for a sports club you can find lots of information online to help and you're welcome to drop into the Activities Centre, Falmer House, to talk to us.

Find out more about the activities and events we coordinate by browsing the links in the menu to the right.

Our team

Andy Guantlett, Sports Development Coordinator, supports our clubs by providing advice and working on development plans. Sarah Hall, Sports Administrator, works with Andy to help our clubs by organising fixtures and competitions and making sure that they have enough equipment.

Full-time elected officer

The Activities Officer, Scott Sheridan, represents students views to make sure that students can participate in a sporting activity they enjoy whilst at University. He chairs the Sports Management Committee which makes decisions about our sports clubs.
