Whether outdoor or indoor, team or individual, students at Sussex benefit from being able to get involved in a wide range of competitive and leisure activities provided by the Union and the University.

Sport at Sussex is broad and diverse with something for everyone, regardless of experience so whether you're into running, catching, climbing, skiing or hitting things with sticks why not take a look at what's on offer?

Join a sports club

If you want to join one or more of our sports clubs you need to buy a Students' Union sport membership

Sign up online now

Just £60 gives you membership to all 20 clubs for the whole year;

Your membership includes;

  • Women's rugbyregular training sessions
  • expert coaching
  • equipment
  • team kit
  • transport (i.e. to fixtures, to sessions, etc)
  • facility hire (pitches, sports halls, climbing wall, pools, etc)
  • subsidy of trips
  • competition fees in the British University and Colleges Sports league
  • insurance (excluding the overseas ski trips)
  • development & support

There is a reduced membership option of £40 which only gives you access to the 6 Outdoor Pursuits clubs (Canoe, Mountain Biking, Mountaineering, Snow, Sub Aqua and Surf Sports). The activities of these clubs are generally off campus, utilising specialist venues elsewhere in Sussex and beyond. Again, the exact details of what is offered can be found on the individual club wepages.
