Becoming an officer or rep is a great way of getting involved with decision making in the Students' Union and the University and helps ensure that the views of students are heard.
The Students' Union is a student-led, democratic organisation. Every year students are elected to a variety of positions to represent the views of students.
There are a variety of roles available (see below), so whether you'd like to help improve your course as a Student Rep, oversee the direction of the Students' Union as a Student Trustee, represent a group of students as a Representative Officer or any of the other opportunities available to you, nominate yourself now!
There is training and support available for all positions and no experience is necessary.
You can find out more about the positions, other positions elected later in the year and elections in general at www.sussexstudent.com/elections or by clicking on the role you're interested in below.
We've put together a list of the top 10 myths about elections so you don't have an excuse not to put yourself forward!
9am 17th September - You can nominate yourself online for Students' Union and Student Rep positions until 4pm on 2nd October.
6pm 2nd October - Meeting for candidates in Union elections (not required for Student Rep candidates)
Campaigning starts at 9am on Monday 8th October & students can vote online until voting closes on 12th October
