Media

Media at the Students’ Union is one of the most active areas of its kind in the country, with a weekly newspaper, The Badger, a termly magazine, The Pulse, and a radio station, University Radio Falmer (URF).

All three are run entirely by students for students and everyone is actively encouraged to get involved with the creation of the media.

Whether it’s through an executive or editorial role, writing a story or helping put together a radio-show, there is great experience to gain and a lot of fun and satisfaction that goes with it.

The Badger newspaper

The Badger is the weekly student newspaper funded by the University of Sussex Students’ Union.

It covers campus, local, national and international news, comment and opinion, film, music, performance, listings, sport, science and union updates.

It features the stories and issues that matter to you and over the years has secured exclusive interviews with a whole range of highly regarded figures, from Caroline Lucas to Johnny Depp. It is written by students for students and is open to everyone.

For students with an interest in current affairs, politics or arts news, the Badger can provide you with the opportunity to develop writing and designing skills that will be useful later in life.

You can read stories from the Badger online at www.badgeronline.co.uk
