Take part in the Students’ Union’s new ‘Sussex Switch-Off’ inter-halls energy-saving competition to help cut the carbon footprint of your halls, and win prizes!
Making sure we reduce carbon emissions obviously has massive benefits for all of us in helping tackle climate change, and following our 5 easy energy-saving tips is a great place to start. Just imagine how much we could cut our carbon footprint if every single student in halls was following them! Even if you're not living in halls you can still follow our tips.
At the end of the year the students in the halls with making the biggest savings in energy will win a big celebratory party! There are also on-going competitions and challenges throughout the year which you can enter to win prizes for yourself.
There’ll be events, parties, film screenings and socials throughout the year, so it’s a great way of meeting new people too.
And (if that’s not enough good reasons to get involved!) the energy-saving habits you’ll pick up by taking part will help you save money on your energy bills once you move out into the wider world!
Join up to our email newsletter, facebook group and use our #sussexswitchoff twitter hashtag for regular info on our one-off competitions, social events and latest energy-saving tips, and to follow your halls’ progress in the Sussex Switch-off league tables!
Sign up as a flat champion to help make sure your flatmates are cutting lots of carbon too - just enter your flat number when you sign up!.
