If you are a student from outside the UK there are a range of particular issues you may face - for example you may have restrictions upon the number of hours you can work whilst you study and there's less emergency funding available to you.
You may also be unfamiliar with some aspects of the UK's academic culture - such as referencing conventions.
However, the Students' Union is very much here for you. We can help you understand some of the complex rules that might affect you and whilst we don't provide immigration advice - the University's International & Study Abroad Office does that - there's lots that we can help with to make your time in the UK as enjoyable and trouble-free as possible.
