Advice

The Advice & Representation Centre  can give you free, independent and confidential information, advice and support on a range of academic and non-academic issues.

We have professional advisers and elected student representatives and the service is completely confidential, independent from the University and no issue is too big or too small for us to deal with.

The Students' Union is here to help you make the most of your time at Sussex so if there's something bugging you that you think is likely to be affecting other students as well tell us about it by filling in our online form

On-campus services

Free condoms for 16-25 year olds
16-25 year olds can access free condoms through the C-card scheme.  You need to sign up to the scheme and get a card in order to be able to pick up condoms. The Student Life Centre in Chichester 1 hosts an open access C-card drop-in every Wednesday and Thursday between 1-2 pm, and another drop-in for LGBTQ students only on Tuesdays at 4-5pm. Once you’ve got a card, you can pick up more condoms from the Student Life Centre, the Advice & Representation Centre (1st floor, Falmer House), or either of the Students’ Union bars. You can find out more about the C-card scheme on the Swish website.

Buying condoms on campus
If you are over 25, or would otherwise like an alternative to the C-card scheme, you can buy condoms from several outlets on campus, including the Union shop in Falmer House.

Talking therapy
Sussex University PCS offer a free, confidential counseling service to all Sussex students, including a dedicated drug and alcohol counseling programme.
