Currently co-president of the Environmental Society, I am leading a campaign to provide drinking fountains on campus to reduce plastic/money waste. I am interested in sustainable/ethical food, energy and education. With a good understanding of the University ethical/environmental credentials, there are a number of areas I will address to improve them simultaneously:
• End of year waste from campus accommodation

Working with Scoop and Inspir8 during my time at Sussex has shown me the positive difference that we as students can make, not only within campus, but also to the wider community.
I willwork to ensure that we continue to utilise the facilities that we have access to, to reach as many people as possible.
I would especially focus on continuing to improve the recycling facilities across campus by opening a swap room where anyone can take their useful but unwanted items for others to make use of.

I will find and encourage cheap, student-led, creative, and sustainable ways to provide for each other e.g. regular skill share workshops, clothes swap system, food stalls following on from the success of Scoop.
I am also determined to reduce energy wasting on campus and support campaigns by Sussex Against Sweatshops , Students Against Sexual Harassment, and free wheelers efforts to get a bike workshop on campus.
