Part-time Officers

Part-time officers

Part-time officers are elected representatives, just like full-time officers, but their roles are designed to require a smaller time commitment, and so students can take up part-time officer roles alongside their studies.

Each position has a specific area of responsbility (known as a portfolio), and it is the responsibility of each officer to promote their portfolio in the activities of the Union. Part-time officers are full voting members of both Union Council and Executive Committee.

All full members of the Union are eligible to stand as part-time officers.  Elections for these positions typically take place in the Summer Term.

Hello, I'm Kelly and I'm the Equality & Diversity part-time Officer. If you'd like to get in touch or arrange a meeting about absolutely anything to do with equality and/or diversity, please email me or talk to me around campus.

The Equality and Diversity Officer is responsible for driving forward equality and diversity within the Union and the University community. I sit on the Union Executive, Union Council and am involved in the steering of the relevant sub-committees. I'm informed on policy issues locally and on nationally; and I work with and am supported by the Welfare Officer and the eight Representative Officers on campaigns and events.
