Representative Officers

There are eight Representative Officers, each representing one of the following representative groups:

  • Black Students’ Representative Officer *
  • Disabled Students’ Representative Officer
  • International Students’ Representative Officer
  • Part-Time Students’ Representative Officer
  • LGBTQ Students’ Representative Officer
  • Mature Students’ Representative Officer
  • Student Parents’ Representative Officer

They actively work to ensure that the views and needs of the relevant group are considered within the Union and University community. They will sit on the Union Council and relevant committees.

They will work closely with the Equality and Diversity part-time officer and the Welfare Officer on relevant local and national campaigns and events. Students standing and voting for these positions should self-identify as a member of the relevant group. You can find out about the current Representative Officers.
